Michael Holding, 62, of Charleston, South Carolina passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

Michael was born on January 7, 1963 in Norton, Virginia to the late William Isham Holding III and Sue Frances Liddle Vaughn. He grew up in Big Stone Gap, Virginia before moving to Fredericksburg, Virginia until finding home in Charleston, South Carolina. Michael was a tradesman and a mechanic working several odd jobs throughout his life.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thomas Jessee Liddle and Vearl Coleman Liddle; and paternal grandparents, William Isham Holding Jr. and Phyllis Large Holding.

Michael is survived by his sister, Beth Holding Hagan and husband John of Big Stone Gap, Virginia; brother, Thomas Holding of Bradenton, Florida; along with several nieces and nephews.

Per Michael's wishes he will be cremated and laid to rest with his parents at Glencoe Cemetery in Big Stone Gap, Virginia at a later date.
