Obituary Merle "Hoot" Eugene Wiles, age 64, was born April 16, 1955 in Baltimore, MD and passed away on March 14, 2020 at his home in Jonesville, VA. Hoot is preceded in death by his parents Merle Elsworth Wiles and Lucille (Collins) Benfield; brothers Jerry Benfield and James Wiles; his sisters Freda Benfield, Dorothy Sue Hinkle and Mary Ellen Wiles; Special aunt Aggie Edens and aunt Patsy Miser. Hoot is survived by his son Zachariah Wiles of the home; his significant other Stella Marie Hall of the home; step-daughters Jennifer Martin of Jonesville, VA and Fallon Bays of Delaware; granddaughter Lillian Martin of Jonesville, VA; step-granddaughter Zoey; sister Linda Schaffer and many nieces, nephews, cousins and many extended family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 1-3 p.m. in Province Funeral Home in Jonesville, VA. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. with Rev. David Chaltas officiating.
