Obituary Melvin C. Fields age 58 passed away peacefully at his residence in St. Charles, VA on Friday, June 28th 2019. He is survived by his wife and companion of 39 years Martha J. Fields, loving father to his step-daughters Melissa S. Whited and husband, Butch of Robbins Chapel, Keokee, VA, Tonia Jones Lawson and husband, Red of Pennington Gap, VA. Melvin had two grandsons: Justin Greer and companion, Brittany Chadwick, and Nicholas J. Greer, two great-grandchildren: Landon Deirth and Julieona Greer. He was a protective brother to his three sisters: Susie Bryant and companion, Rick Carter, Joyce Knuckles and companion, Donnie Parsons, Mary Mooneyhan and husband, Roger, two brothers: Tom Fields and Richard Fields, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and numerous extended family. He is preceded in death by his father and mother: Corbin and Ordie Fields, sister: Doris Tritt, brother: Jerry Fields and brother-in-law: William Bryant.
