Obituary Melvin Thomas Coomer age 52 of Jonesville, VA was born January 1, 1970 in Pennington Gap, VA and passed away November 18,2022 at Lee County Community Hospital. He was an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting ginseng and fishing. He was preceded in death by his father George Coomer, his grandparents, one cousin, several aunts and uncles. Melvin is survived by his mother Carol Coomer of the home, one son Thomas Coomer of the home, one daughter Sarah Nickodam of Atlanta, GA, and two grandchildren also of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by one brother Jason Coomer and wife, Jamie and their daughter Alexis of Pennington Gap, VA, one uncle Lee West and wife, Donetta, two aunts Annie Fleenor, Chaneta Taylor and " Special Uncle Gary Cooper and several cousins. Burial will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Red Hill Cemetery in Pennington Gap, VA with David Ely officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 AM Wednesday for the service.
