Obituary Melissa Marie Vernon age 70 of Keokee, VA was born February 15, 1950 in Keokee and passed away February 8, 2021 at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents Dennis and Dorothy McMurray, 6 brothers Roger, Eugene, Jerry, Terry, Gary and Nathaniel McMurray.Marie is survived by her husband of 51 years Noah Vernon of the home, three sons Terry Allen Vernon of the home, Faris Vernon and wife, Christy of Salem, IN, Kenneth Vernon and wife, Leigh of Salem, IN, 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother Dennis McMurray of Salem, IN, four sisters Nancy Rutherford and husband, Eddie of Jonesville, VA, Nina Robbins of Powell, TN, Viven Rice of Salem, IN and Elizabeth Dyke and wife, Lynn Robbins of Mitchell, IN. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Anderson Cemetery in Keokee, VA with officiating.
