Melissa Ann Rogers, age 42 of Dryden, VA was born in Sandusky, OH on Monday, October 29, 1973and passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was a homemaker that loved music and caring for her fur babies: Maggie, Max, Weenie and Milkshake. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarence and Mabel Cress; Her father, Larry Cress; mother, Paula Sheets; one brother, C.L. Cress and one sister, Crystal Clark. She is survived by her husband, Frank Rogers of the home; two sons, Ethan Collins of Woodway, VA and Gavin Collins of Wise, VA: One step-son, Frank (Shay) Rogers Jr. of Jonesville, VA; Two brothers, Lindsey Cress and wife Maria of Weber City, VA and Ronnie Cress of Norwalk, OH; four sisters, Diana Fulton, Peggy Chappalear and husband Robert, Brenda Bartlett and husband Don, all of Norwalk, OH and Heather Sheets of Matewan, WV. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap with Tony Whitt officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. Wednesday until time of services.
