Mary Helen Whited, age 81, was born on Thursday, September 12, 1935 and passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport, TN after a brief illness. Mary retired as a nurse for over thirty years in West Palm Beach Florida, and then moved to Woodway, VA. She was a loving Sister and Aunt to many. Mary loved to attend any sport or school event that her nieces and nephews were involved in. Mary was preceded in death by her Mother and Daddy, Kattie and Wilburn Lee Whited, two infant brothers and one sister, Billie Jean Crabtree. Also preceding in death were her special nephews, Greg "Hudie" Whited, John Haynes, Bobby "Locus" Crabtree and Anthony Harr, niece Jill Crabtree and sister-in-lawAlice Faye Whited. Survivors include her brother Jack Whited and his family, Nephews: Dustin (Savanna) Whited and Nickolas Evan Whited. Niece Jackie Haynes and her daughters Alicia (Eric) Satterfield, Krista (Aaron) Kimberlin and niece Lisa (Don) Christie. Also, her Great-Great nephew and niece Johnny and Kyndal Satterfield, whom she truly adored. Also surviving Billie Jeans family: Nieces: Jody Harr, Janie (Charles) Hobbs, Doris (Don) Shinn, Mary (Gus) Cousin, Debra Cope, Nephews: Arthur Jr. Crabtree, Jim (Judy) Crabtree, John Crabtree, Frank (Sheila) Crabtree, and Buck (Susie) Crabtree, goddaughter Andrea Lewis, and numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Mary Helens service will be held Monday, December 26, 2016 at the Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, with visitation from 6pm to 8pm with funeral service to follow, with Rev. Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Graveside service will be at 11am Tuesday, at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA. The family ask for everyone to meet at the funeral home at 10am to go in procession to the cemetery.
