Mary Jean Stewart age 58 of Woodway, VA was born in Sanford, FL on Thursday, April 18, 1957 and passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant and was a member of the Union Christian Church in Dot. She was preceded in death by her parents Clinton and Ruth Green, uncles Bob Haynes and Pewee Haynes, aunt Hattie Treadway, father of her children Delbert Stewart and other family members. Jean is survived by two daughters Crystal Warner and husband, Phillip of the home and Kelly Stewart and Fianc, Gary Bryant of Bean Station, TN, four grandchildren Brody and Katie Vaughn, Tyler Payne and Jacob Dishner, brothers Larry Cox and wife, Betty of Woodway, VA and J.R Cox and wife, Gladys of Pennington Gap, VA, sisters Carolyn Cox of Clearwater, FL and Leslie Messer of Florida, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, July 15,2015 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Rev. Larry Munsey officiating.
