Obituary Mary Ellen Smith of Jonesville, VA, passed away on September 11, 2020. She was born on October 5, 1946 in Jonesville to the late Alonzo and Dora Iora Blanken. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dale Smith of Jonesville; son Richard Smith and wife, Kristi, of Knoxville, TN; sister, Betty Thomas and husband Don; brother Donny Blanken and wife, Loretta; granddaughter Karilyn Ellen Smith who was her namesake; brother-in-law L.B. and wife, Jane; sisters-in-law Sue Smith and Pat Smith; brother-in-law Darrell Smith; sister-in-law Sheila Anderson and husband Bob; many nephews and nieces. Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Blanken, sister-in-law Connie Blanken, and niece Karen Blanken. Due to the Covid-19 virus, no memorial service will be held.
