Obituary Mary Alice Roberson, 84, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020, at Lonesome Pine Regional Hospital in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. She was born on February 24, 1936, the daughter of the late E.J. and Minnie Poe, and she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Alice was a lifelong member of Beacon Light Baptist Church and resident of St. Charles, Virginia. She is survived by her loving husband of over 61 years, Arnold Roberson, of St. Charles, Virginia; one brother, David Poe and wife, Ernestine, of Jonesville, Virginia; one daughter, Cheryl Truluck, of Mooresboro, North Carolina; one son, Michael, and wife, Pamela, of Castlewood, Virginia; five granddaughters, Amanda Roethlisberger and husband, John, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Holly Powell and husband, Adam, of Clover, South Carolina, Hailey Parham and husband, Levi, of Clarkesville, Georgia, Savannah Roberson of Castlewood and Skylar Roberson of Castlewood; great-granddaughter Scarlett Roethlisberger of Rock Hill, South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, a private funeral service for Alice Roberson will be conducted in Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, Virginia, with Her son Michael officiating. Entombment will follow in Lee Memorial Gardens in Pennington Gap, Virginia. Pallbearers shall be Dennis Truluck, John Roethlisberger, Adam Powell, Levi Parham, Colyn Wampler, and Noah Maxfield. The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors and staff at Lee Health and Rehab Center in Pennington Gap, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beacon Light Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM Thursday, December 10, 2020.
