Mary Alice Robbins, age 93 of the Ocoonita Community of Jonesville, VA was born in Jonesville, VA on Wednesday, December 3, 1924 and departed this walk of life on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. She worked as a waitress in Michigan and then was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Robbins; her son, Zane Ray Robbins; her parents, Creed and Mabel Carter; two sisters, Bonnie Harnish and Faye Scott and three brothers, Ralph, Glen and Bruce Carter. She is survived by two sons, Aaron Robbins and wife, Mischelle of Jonesville, VA and Stan Cooke and wife Linda of Hartland, MI; one daughter, Judy Naylor of Jonesville, VA and one daughter-in-law, Holly Robbins of Woodway, VA; grandchildren, Jason Naylor, Stan and Landon Cooke, Tracy Reece, Ashley Robbins and Zane Michael Robbins, Chris Robbins and Stacy Gilliam; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Sylvia Carter of Dayton, OH. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap with Paul Davis Jr. officiating. Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. until time of services. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday to go to the cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
