Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Hatfield, age 80, of of Jonesville, VA, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 while at the Holston Valley Medical Center.

Mary was born on September 1, 1945 at home in Blackwater, TN. a daughter of the late Roy and Oma (Moore) Collins. She was saved at a early age at Sulfur Springs Church and she loved to share her testimony and the love of Jesus Christ her Savior. If you ever came to Mary's house and left hungry, that was on you, for she opened her home to everyone. She loved to cook, can and garden; she took pride in her flowers, keeping her home clean and tidy, but most of all she treasured the time she spent with her family.

In addition to her parents; she is preceded in death by the father of her children; Otis Hatfield, her son; Randy Hatfield. Sisters; Geneva Collins, Rose Hatfield, Alice Roberts, Ida Davidson, Ruby Collins and Macie Lamar. Brothers; Lester Collins and Taylor Collins.

Those left to cherish her memory, Daughters; Linda Martin (Pat), Darlene Hatfield, Juanita Ellis (Steve), Lena Hatfield and Janice Hatfield (Larry). She also leaves behind her wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sisters; Lougene Martin, Gladys Parks, Brenda Parks and Mossy Long. Brothers; Roger Collins and David Collins

Also a very special friend; Elizabeth Dean along with a host of other family and many friends.

In keeping with her wish of "love, peace and harmony" all her services will be private. She had requested Pastor Allen Lamb and Pastor Robert Slone to Say words of comfort over her. She will be laid to rest with Otis and Randy in the Hatfield-Martin Cemetery, in the Little Sycamore community of Tazewell, TN. Pallbearers will be Mickey Collier, Michael Collins, Mike Shattuck, Randy Parks, Pat Martin, Alvin Martin, Jr. and Steve Ellis.

Mary Elizabeth Hatfield and her family are in the care of Powell Valley Funeral Home.
