Martha Mae Baker, a cherished resident of Rose Hill, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 23rd, 2026, at the age of 85. Born December 1st, 1940, Martha was a beacon of love and kindness to all who knew her.

Martha was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and most of all a faithful Christian

Martha is preceded in death by beloved father, John Bennett, and her nurturing mother, Ruby Jane Sturdivant, brother John R. Bennett, and sister Joann Harrison

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Hagan Baker, Sr. Sons, Hagan (Brenda) Baker, Jr, and Marc (Lisa) A. Baker, loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews

The Baker family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Caris Hospice for their care of Martha, and their helpers Nicole Lemmons, and Lisa Goins.

A visitation will be held for Martha at the Trinity Tabernacle, 146 Boone Tabernacle Road Ewing, VA. 24248 on Monday, July 27th from 11:00am-1:00pm. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation with D.J. and Jessica Wilder officiating. A graveside service will follow the funeral at the Baker Family Cemetery, 298 Crockett Ridge Road Rose Hill, VA. 24281. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
