Marie Elaine Brewer, age 72, of Duffield, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 13th, 2023 in Kingsport, TN surrounded by her loved ones. She was born July 4th, 1950 of the late Roy Anderson and Irene Nelson Anderson. She was a Mount Hope Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, David Carl Brewer, son, Christopher Brewer, her siblings, Mike Anderson, Jeff Anderson, and Sandra Kay Miller, grandparents, Milam and Lily Anderson and James Wesley and Alice Nelson.

She is survived by a her daughter Melissa Brewer Vanover and husband Doug, her son Robert Brewer and wife Amy, daughter in law Vinia Hall Brewer, her three brothers Robert (Bob) Anderson and wife Sheila, Richard Anderson and wife Tammy, and Ronald Anderson, sister Kim Anderson, brother in law Arthur Miller, five grandchildren, Jonathan Cantor, Sarah Cantor, Bradley Brewer and wife Kristen, Brandon Brewer, and Elijah Brewer, and three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Zeus, and Xander. She also has several nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive.

The most important things in her life was her faith and beliefs, her family, and her dogs, Lacey and Sophie. She loved flowers and to look out of her home at the beautiful trees. She loved to cook and craft. She loved adoring God's creations.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, June 16 from 5 until 7 pm at Powell Valley Funeral Home, 29521 Wilderness Road, Jonesville, VA 24263 with the funeral following with Pastor Steve Neff officiating. The committal service will be Saturday Morning at 11am in the Ewing-McClure Cemetery, US Highway 58 (across from Friendship Baptist Church) Jonesville, VA

Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. It is requested that family and friends meet Saturday morning, June17, 2023 at 10;30 am at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.

The family would like to thank any family and friends for all the prayers and help received during this time. They would also like to thank Amedisys Hospice and all the staff from Holston Valley and Johnson City Medical Center who were kind and compassionate during the tough times they shared.
