Margarete Woliver of Flanary Bridge Rd. in the Flatwoods Community, Jonesville, Va. was born in Pracht, Germany on Tuesday , January 5, 1937. and passed away Friday, April 10, 2015 at her home at the age of 78 years. She had lived in Lee County most of her adult life. Margarete was a homemaker, an active grandmother, and a volunteer at Flatwoods Elementary School. She loved to spend time watching birds and working in her flower gardens. She attended Victory Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Woliver, one grandson Steven Rutledge, and her parents Alfred and Frieda Zielinski of Germany. Margarete is survived by one daughter, Melody Vaughan Cress of Jonesville, VA, four sons Gary Vaughan and wife, Sandy of Jonesville, VA, Stephan Woliver and wife, Jennifer of Belmont, NC, Chad Woliver and wife, Angel of Stow OH, Brian Woliver and wife, Melissa of Dryden, VA, thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Margarete is also survived by one sister, Gerda Huebner and husband Dennis of Milwaukee, WI, and one brother, Walter Zielinski and wife Katie of Germany. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday April 16, 2015 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA and the funeral service will immediately follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. Bill Moore officiating. The graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Friday at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 AM Friday to go to the cemetary. We are located at 42098 E.
