Obituary Loretta Parsons, age 82, was born on July 23, 1937 in Lee County and went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. She was of the Church of God faith and loved her family, church family and a wonderful homemaker to all. Loretta is preceded in death by her parents Lester and Elsie Varble; sisters Lorene Cochran and JoAnn Galloway; granddaughter Mandy Parsons Jessee. Loretta is survived by her husband of 63 years Earl Parsons of the home; her children Donnie Parsons of St. Charles, VA, Judy Shirks and husband Roger of St. Charles, VA, Jackie Parsons of Sticklyville, VA, Wayne Parsons and wife Melissa of Jonesville, VA, Tyke Parsons and wife Vicki of Jonesville, VA, Gloria Longsworth of St. Charles, VA; her sisters Wilma McKinney of St. Charles, VA and Patricia Scott and husband Elijah of St. Charles, VA; brother Floyd Varble and wife Fern of St. Charles,VA; grandchildren Leslie Miles and husband Eric, Shawn Shirks and wife Karen, Kevin Shirks, Eric Shirks and wife Brittany, Jennifer Parsons Stapleton, Tiffany Slusher and husband Bobby, Kimberly Hounshell and husband Jordan, Ashley Mullins and husband Jimmy, Julie Ely and husband Mark, Brandon Longsworth; 21 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many extended family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, September 26, 2019, at 5-7 p.m. at the Province Funeral Home Chapel in Pennington Gap, VA. Funeral services will follow with Pastor Roy Webb officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11a.m. Friday, September 27, 2019 in the Cooper-Parsons Cemetery in Puckett Creek.
