Linda Edgar age 69 of St. Charles, VA was born Thursday, July 17, 1947 and passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas "Me-Do" Edgar, parents Barbara and Dave Stamey and two brothers Gary Stamey and Bud Sprouse. Linda is survived by two sons John Edgar and companion Holly Poole of Woodway, VA and Joe Edgar of St. Charles, VA, two daughters Barbara Edgar and companion, Matthew Smith of St. Charles, VA and Faith Gibson of St. Charles, grandchildren Ben Edgar, Ryan Smith, Jacob Smith, Charity Gibson, Haylee Edgar, Micah Edgar, Courtney Huff, Parker Edgar, Kaylyn Edgar and Gabriel Edgar, great-grandchildren Keydon Edgar, Preston Miles, Grace Edgar, Caleb Olinger, Jeffrey Poole, Bryan Poole, Korbin Poole, one brother David Stamey and wife, Brenda of Pennington Gap, VA and four sisters Becky Holloway and husband, Bill of Woodway, VA, Rita Sutton and husband, Terry of St. Charles, VA, Nola Delaney and husband, Rex of Stickleyville, VA and Carolyn Taylor of Ben Hur, VA. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Roy Webb officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM Tuesday until the time of the service. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Woodway, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:00 AM Wednesday to go to the cemetery. Province Funeral Home of 42098 E.
