Lena Wells age 89 of Pennington Gap, VA was born in Lee County, VA on Sunday, May 30, 1926 and passed away, Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. She had retired from housekeeping at Carter Hall Nursing home in Dryden, VA and was a member of the First Baptist Church in St. Charles, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Wells, two sons Randall and Danny Wells, grandson Randy Wells and her parents Leonard and Golden (Gilley) Zion. Lena is survived by two sons Bobby Wells and wife, Janie and Greg Wells and wife, Debbie all of Pennington Gap, VA, one daughter Teresa ORoark and husband, Chuck of Dublin, VA, eight grandchildren Lisa Edwards and husband, David, Bobby Wells, Harvey Wells and wife, Jacquelyn, Sean ORoark, Tara Newton and husband, Jared, Kala Stafford and husband, Gary, Keith Wells and wife, Heather, Michael Wells and wife, Erin, seven great-grandchildren and Grannys furry baby, Bailie. A funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM Wednesday until the time of the service. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, Va. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM Thursday to go to the cemetery.
