Lawrence Wynn age 87 of the Stone Creek Community in Pennington Gap, VA was born in Jones Creek, KY on Wednesday, March 28, 1928 and passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at his home. He had been a coal miner and of the Holiness Faith. He was preceded in death by his wife Verdie Wynn, sons Henry Allen Wynn and Lawrence Wynn, Jr., daughter Helen Wynn, sister Thelma and brothers Blant, Jess and Eli Wynn. Lawrence is survived by a son Mosco Wynn and wife, Louise of the Elys Creek Community, daughters Cecilia Burgan and husband, Elmer of the Elys Creek Community and Hazel Del-A-Cruz and husband, Roberto of Dublin, TX. Lawrence is also survived by eleven grandchildren, his brothers Mart, Buryl and Wesley Wynn and sisters Norma Middleton, Amy and Carrie all of Maynardville, TN and Emily Garrett of Pennington Gap, VA. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Rev. George Flanary officiating. Burial will follow at the Wynn Cemetery in the Stone Creek Community of Pennington Gap, VA. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon Friday until the time of the service.
