Laura Louise Joyner age 78 of Woodway, VA was born Monday, November 1, 1937 in Mt. Airy, MD and passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Mountain View Hospital in Norton, VA. She retired as a cook for the Patio Drive-In after 26 years of service and was of the Methodist Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband William Denny Joyner, her parents William David and Helen Smith Parker, a brother Donnie Eugene Parker and a sister Ruth Bozewell. She is survived by her four sons Bill Joyner of Woodway, VA, James David Joyner of Woodway, VA, Robert Wayne Joyner of Pennington Gap, VA and Dennis Eugene Joyner of Pennington Gap, VA, three Grandchildren William Paul Joyner, Whitney Joyner and Bobbie Lynn Joyner, two great-grandchildren Kenneth Joyner and Matthew Joyner, brothers Ernest Parker of Florida and Bill Parker of Maryland. A graveside service will be held Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the Mountain View Cemetery in Stickleyville, VA with Kevin Yeary officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:00 AM Sunday for visitation before going to the cemetery.
