Larry "Woody" Woods, age 72, of Jonesville, Virginia, was born on August 14, 1953, to the late James Woods and Pansy Allen Woods. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jay Woods. Larry went home to be with the Lord on February 26, 2026.

Woody began working as a coal miner at a young age and later spent many years in concrete work. A devoted member of St. Charles First Baptist Church in St. Charles, Virginia, he loved the Lord and enjoyed music, cooking, football, and NASCAR. He also had a passion for collecting and helping others, which reflected his generous heart.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cathy Woods, of the home; two sons, David Woods and Kelly Woods; one daughter, Brittany Nida and husband Matthew, of Pennington Gap, Virginia; and his seven cherished grandchildren: Hayden, Jax, Kye, and Ara Woods, and Madi, Elli, and Maeli Nida.

He is also survived by Ethel, Jim, Peggy, and Earnestine Rasnic, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, March 2, 2026 at Lee Memorial Gardens with Pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:45 PM.
