Kenneth Dale Ricketts, 73, of Duffield passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at his residence.

Kenneth was born on December 19, 1952 in Pennington Gap, Virginia to the late Zebedee and Gracie Mae Burke Ricketts. Kenneth was a coal miner by trade. He was a simple man with a big personality. He loved his family and his close circle around him.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Kevin Ricketts; brothers, Eddie Ricketts, Jerry Ricketts, and Bobby Ray Ricketts; sister, Ollie Ricketts Crabtree.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons Jonathan Paul Ricketts and Kenneth Ricketts II; grandchildren, Corey Ricketts, Hannah Ricketts, Brittany Ricketts, and Chloe Ricketts; brother, Billy Ricketts; sisters, Cindy Sue Harris and Wilma Rhymer; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Per his wishes he will be cremated with no formal services.

Kenneth Dale Ricketts and his family are in the care of Jones-Pennington Gap Funeral Home.
