Kathleen Sue Stapleton (Kegley), 80, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Lee County Community Hospital.

Kathleen was born on May 15, 1944 in Lee County, Virginia, to the late Carl and Stella Kegley.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Wayne Stapleton; five brothers, Darrel Kegley, Kenneth Kegley, Howard Kegley, Brendell Kegley, and Tony Kegley; three sisters, Anna Lou Fultz, Carolyn Rhea, and Peggy Arlene Warren; a granddaughter, Jessica Pace and great-grandson Carson Duffy

Those left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Paula Newton, Peggy Winters, and Sarah Allen; two sons, Tim Pace and Shawn Jones; brother, Marion Joe Kegley; sister, Pauletta Hall; grandchildren, Shawna, Eric, Conner, Brandi, Tosh, Ryan, Seth, Tiffany, Shyla, Zoey, and Lilly Grace; as well as a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends and special friend and sitter Earlene Dean.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 pm on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Free Pentecostal Church of God in Woodway, VA. A funeral service will follow with Reverend Jimmy Ewing Jr., officiating.

A committal service will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens.
