Joseph Harold (Joe) Sorah age 90 of Largo, FL was born in St. Charles, VA on Sunday, December 13, 1925 and passed this walk of life on Thursday, May 5, 2016 in Largo, FL. He had served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1941 to 1944. He was stationed in Germany and served in the Battle of the Bulge. He was of the Baptist Faith and retired from the Frigidaire division of General Motors. Joe had also been a member of the Shriners and Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents Baxter and Laura Sorah, one brother Baxter Lee Sorah, Jr. and one sister Gladys Gertrude Sorah. Joe is survived by his wife of 66 years Ruby Sorah of Largo, FL, two sons Jim Sorah and wife, Roxanne of St. Charles, VA and Steve Sorah and wife, Carol of Tampa, FL, four grandchildren Mike Sorah, Karen Sorah, Melinda Pitzer and Stephanie Pauley, three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, a sister Pauline Sprinkle of St. Charles, VA and a brother Darrell Allen Sorah, SR and wife, Reida of Lawrenceville, GA. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM Friday until the time of the service.
