Obituary Joseph "Joe" ODell Edgar, age 49 of Pennington Gap, VA and formerly of St. Charles, was born on Thursday, September 9, 1971 and entered into his Heavenly home on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Holston Valley Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents Douglas "Me-Do" Edgar and Linda Edgar, grandparents Barbara and Dave Stamey and Judge and Maxie Edgar. Joe is survived by his son, Micah Edgar of Woodway, VA, one daughter, Courtney Hughes of Pennington Gap, VA, and a stepson, Brandon Poole and wife Elaine and step grandsons Jeffrey and Brian Poole, all of Lakeland, FL. Joe is also survived by his brother, John Edgar and companion, Holly Poole of Woodway, VA, and two sisters, Barbara Edgar of Woodway, VA and Faith Gibson of Pennington Gap, VA, along with a host of nieces and nephews. Joe was a 1992 graduate of Lee High School. He worked as a mechanic at BJ Motors before becoming a loader operator at Jessee Stone Company. He was a member of the Greater Outreach Church of God. Joe was a beloved father, brother, uncle, son, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and riding his motorcycle with the guys. Joe will be missed by all who knew him. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March17, 2021 at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA with Roy Webb officiating.
