Johnny Martin Thacker, 64, of Bluefield, WV formerly of Norton, VA went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at his residence.

Johnny was born on April 13, 1959 in Norton, Virginia to the late William Vernon Thacker and Katie Pauline Stidham Thacker. Johnny worked for several years as a transport specialist for PTI. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, companion, and friend.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sons, Johnny Matin Thacker, Jr., Adam Thacker; brother, Charles Wilson; niece, Mary Ann Short.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, William Anthony Thacker; daughter, Jennifer Nicole Baker; granddaughters, Gabrielle Vest and Azura Baker; brothers, Bobby William Thacker and Pete Thacker; sisters, Lois Thacker and Mary Thacker Collins; special friend, Teresa Caudill; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Pennington Gap Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Rev. Adam Wolfe officiating.

A committal service will follow at Wells Cemetery in Esserville with Rev. Adam Wolfe officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
