Obituary Johnny Shoemaker age 71 of Pennington Gap, VA, was born in Harlan, KY on Sunday, February 10, 1946 and passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at Heritage Hall in Big Stone Gap, VA. Johnny was of the Pentecostal Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Birdie Blevins Shoemaker, five brothers Obie, Orbin, Henry, Jim and Esco Shoemaker, two sisters Deloris Eldridge and Redella Bray. Johnny is survived by three sisters Billie Sue Burton of Jonesville, VA, Pauline Scott and husband, Earnest Scott, Jr. of Pennington Gap, VA, Mary Welborn of Salisbury, MD and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 12:00 noon Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. A funeral service will be at 12:00 noon Wednesday with Rev. Jim Ewing officiating. Burial will follow at the Pennington Memorial Cemetery on route 421 in Pennington Gap, VA.
