John Wheeler Hall, Sr. age 87 of the Ocoonita Community in Jonesville, VA was born Monday, March 19, 1928 and passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. He had been a Veteran of the US Marine Corp, a coal miner and was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann Hall, parents Frank and Myrtle Hall, one son Jeff Holt, a granddaughter Jessica Miles, three brothers and a son-in-law Danny Roberts. John is survived by his sons Paul Hall and wife, Patricia of the Ocoonita Community, John Wheeler Hall, Jr. and wife, Diane of Pennington Gap, VA, daughters Tina Miles and husband, David of Pennington Gap, VA, Nancy Hartsock and husband, John Erexson of Jonesville, VA and Diane Roberts of Jonesville, VA. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a sister Minerva Preece of Michigan, several nieces and nephews and special friends Marion Price and Clayton Baird.
