Joel (Jody) Patrick Bledsoe, 57, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Johnson City Medical Center.

Joel was born on September 21, 1968 in Pennington Gap, Virginia. Joel proudly served his country and retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Pennington Gap, Virginia.

Joel is preceded in death by his father, Ronnie James Bledsoe; daughter, Rebecca Bledsoe; sister, Trena Bledsoe; grandmothers, Francis Young and Carnell Hoskins.

Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Belyn Bledsoe; two daughters, Peachy Pritchett and Katie Bledsoe; mother, Deloris Ann Middleton; in laws, Rufo and Rebecca Levidica; sister, Rhonda Bledsoe; loving aunt, Katherine Smith (Bill); uncle, Bobby Young; granddaughters, Leilani Pritchett and Kanamay Pritchett; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Per his wishes, Joel will be cremated.
