Jimmy Dean Taylor, Sr. age 75 of the Monarch community in St. Charles, VA was born in Benedict, VA on Friday, March 21, 1941 and went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at his home. Jimmy was a member of the Beacon Light Baptist Church in Monarch. He had lived in Philadelphia, PA for 10 years and St. Charles his remaining years. He was preceded in death by his parents Hamp and Bernice Taylor, two brothers Dickie Taylor and Bob Dingus and two great-grandchildren. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 54 years Loretta Taylor of the home, five sons Jimmy Dean Taylor and wife, Beth of Honaker, VA, David Taylor of Johnson City, TN, Chris Taylor, Jeff Taylor and wife, Debbie, and Jamey Taylor and wife, Sherry all of St. Charles, VA and one daughter-in-law Lori Taylor of Dryden, VA. He was also survived by fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, one brother Jerry Taylor of St. Charles, VA, four sisters Sue Bledsoe and husband, Roy of the Long Hollow Community of Jonesville, VA, Peggy Bledsoe and Mary Anders both of St. Charles, VA and Kathy Maples and husband Doug of Tazewell, TN. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Darbyville Baptist Church in the Kemmerer Gem Community of St. Charles, VA with Rev. Ray Bowlin and Rev. Ernie Bledsoe officiating. Burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery on Sugar Run in Jonesville, VA. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon Friday until the time of the service.
