Obituary Jimmy Ray Christian Sr. age 83 of Pennington Gap, VA, was born Sunday, May 10, 1936 in Sticklyville, VA, and passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 in Kingsport, TN. Jimmy was loved by his family and friends and never met a stranger. He was a man of character and strength and was always willing to help others. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by both of his parents Harm and Sealy Christian; seven brothers Jake, Johnny, Amos, Hubert, Charlie, Jesse and Ed; three sisters Thelma, Mattie and Anna Fae; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is survived by his wife Brenda Christian of Pennington Gap,VA; three sons Butch C. Christian of Tennessee, Billy Christian (Bonnie) of Indiana, Jimmy Ray Christians, Jr. of Pennington Gap, VA; five daughters Rhonda Hatton of Indiana, Lori Jacobs (Doyle) of Indiana, Jeannette Evens (William) of Tennessee, Mattie Tuggle (Nathan Call) of Tennessee, Carla Crane (Jeff) of Virginia and a grandchild he raised Victoria Cutshall (Dillion); twenty-three grandkids, thirty-eight great grandkids, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be from 11:00 until 1:00 PM Friday, December 27, 2019 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, December 27, 2019 at the funeral home with Rev. Doyle Jacobs and Pastor Paul Davis Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Pennington Memorial Cemetery in Pennington Gap, VA. Pall Bearers will be Brian Christian, Billy Christian, Danny Christian, Nathan Call, Eric Christian and Danny Mowell.
