Jeffery Scott Kirk, age 60, of Big Stone Gap, VA, passed away on Wednesday, July 17th, 2024. Born in Maryland on April 28th, 1964, Jeffery was the beloved son of Gene Kirk and Blanche Brown Baumgardner.

Jeffery served his country proudly in the United States Army during Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. He was a devoted son, brother, and friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his step mother, Retha Kirk; step father, Clyde Baumgardner; grandparents, Stanley and Irene Kirk.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Mike Kirk and wife Charlotte of Pleasant Garden, North Carolina, and Winston Wade and wife Tammie of Woodway, Virginia; sister, Rosanna Delph and husband Chris of Inglis, Florida; uncle, Jim Kirk and wife Jean of Hickory Flats, Virginia; special friend, Debbie Miles; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 20th, 2024. A military graveside service will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens with Pastor Paul Davis Jr and military honors being provided by VFW Post 5715 and Virginia Army National Honor Guard. officiating.
