JC Stidham, Jr. age 81 of Keokee, VA was born Wednesday, July 18, 1934 and passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. He was a member of the UMWA #6375 and loved playing music and would play in a group at churches. He had attended the Keokee Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Stidham, two sons Junior and Kenneth Stidham, one daughter Sandra Kay Stidham, eight sisters and two brothers. JC is survived by a son Johnny Stidham and wife, Brenda of Appalachia, VA, two daughters Gloria Gardner of Keokee, VA and Connie Sturgill of Whitesburg, KY, six grandchildren Kevin Gardner, Chris Gardner, Amelia, Carrie, Airies and Haley Mullins. He is also survived by two special friends Cody Durham and Luigi Colot and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 18, 2016 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Brother Bob Richards and Greg Townsend officiating. Burial will follow at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens in Big Stone Gap, VA. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday.
