J.C. (Jay) Harless age 71 of Pennington Gap, VA was born Thursday, August 24, 1944 in Dryden, VA and passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the Lee Health and Rehab Center in Pennington Gap, VA. He was a kindhearted and Godly man and a member of the Woodway Missionary Baptist Church in Woodway, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents Bud and Gladys Harless, brothers Bobby, Arnold, James, Jimmy and Jerry Harless and a sister Betty Harless Bryson. Jay is survived by his brothers and sisters Eliza Edens of Woodway, VA, Wilma Harless of Woodway, VA, Billy Harless and wife, Betty of Travelers Rest, S.C., Kathy King and husband, Lewis of Pennington Gap, VA, Linda Bradley and husband, Paul of Panasoffkee, FL, Jackie Harless and wife, Mary of Pennington Gap, VA, Dorothy Harless of Pennington Gap, VA, Loretta Oaks and husband, Jeff of Gate City, VA, Judy Statzer and husband, Kenneth of Bristol, TN and David Harless and wife, Christy of St. Charles, VA, also several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the home of Eliza Edens in Woodway, VA.
