Obituary Janice Faye Bryson, 77, of Saint Charles went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Janice was born on November 4, 1945 in Pennington Gap, Virginia. Janice was of the Baptist faith and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Saint Charles. Janice furthered her education by earning an associates degree from Mountain Empire Community College in accounting. She went on to work for the college and for Lee County Community Hospital. Janice was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a caring sister, aunt, and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Yancy and Nannie Kate Tipton; sisters, Norma Ann Boston and Sharon Darlene Higdon; brothers, Ronald Gene Tipton and Dennis Paul Tipton. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 59 years, Goley Bryson, Sr.; son, Bo Bryson; sister, Barbara Elaine Huff; brothers, Larry Michael Tipton and Donald Jack (Patty) Tipton; aunt, Dollie Jean Baldwin; along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 5pm to 7pm at Province Funeral Home, Pennington Gap. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 12pm at Province Funeral Home of Pennington Gap with Pastor Wayne Baker and Pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. A graveside service will follow the funeral service at Pennington Memorial Cemetery. Bo Bryson, Dana Rogers, Randy Huff, Michael Huff, Jay Bryson, and Chuck Dean will serve as pallbearers.
