Obituary Janette Griffith age 78 of Pennington Gap, Virginia gained her heavenly wings as she departed this walk of life to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ on December 15, 2019. Janette was born September 6, 1941 in Jenkins, Kentucky. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed many things during her walk of life. She was a homemaker, enjoying raising her children, along with her grandchildren and even her great grandchildren. She was one of a kind when it came to raising children, and making a home feel warm and welcome. She also enjoyed volunteering at the elementary school where she could be close to her grandchildren. Janette is preceded in death by her parents Theodore Rowlett and Zelma McGoldrick; one sister Gaynelle Rowlett. She is survived by her husband of 59 years Jessee Griffith of the home; two brothers Glen Rowlett of Bulls Gap, TN and Jimmy (Eugene) Rowlett of Bristol, TN; one Sister Joyce Yannayon of Palm Bay, FL; one son Timothy "Scottie" Griffith and wife Denise of Cedar Bluff, VA; two daughters Cynthia "Cindy" Finehout and husband Ronald "Ron" of Pennington Gap, VA and Stacy Kirk and husband Brain "Chubby" of Stickleyville, VA; six grandchildren Tiffany Owens and husband Jason of Abington, VA, Ashley Arnold and husband Jon of Knoxville, TN, Jonathan Griffith and wife Brittany of Cedar Bluff, VA, Lynsey Collins and husband Billy of Dryden, VA, Ronald (R.J) Finehout and finance Aleigha Church of Pennington Gap, VA, Austin Kirk of Stickleyville, VA and Stephanie Finehout of Detroit, MI ; seven great-grandchildren Braylee Griffith, Hailie Griffith, Billy Collins III, Nolen Griffith, Kason Owens, Zander Owens and Serenity Finehout. The family will hold a memorial service at Belchers Chapel Baptist Church in Pennington Gap, VA, to fellowship and celebrate the life of Janette on January 11th 2020 at 5:00pm with David Snell bringing a message.
