James C. ( JC ) Woodard, 80, of Six Lakes, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on October 5, 2026 after a lengthy illness.

Born in Keokee, Virginia, he was a son of the late Henry and Maudella Woodard Cooksey, and a retired HiLo Operator with the Saturn Automotive Company. JC was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served as a Spec 5 helicopter mechanic in the Vietnam War. He loved working on engines, drag racing hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Woodard.

JC is survived by his wife, Judy Robbins Woodard; daughters, Regina Moss (husband, Mark) and Racheal Woodard; grandchildren, Lacy Holmes, Tessa Holmes and Mercedes Domoe; great grandchildren, Brenden Rudd, Noah Holmes and Wesson Slagle.

Graveside services with military honors will be conducted Monday (October 12, 2026) at 2:00 PM at Anderson Cemetery, 4874 State Route 606, Keokee, VA 24265 with Pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home for procession to the cemetery.
