Obituary James Lee "Tank" Stapleton age 58 of Pennington Gap, VA was born March 2, 1964 in Pennington Gap and passed away March 27, 2022 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents Barney Jones and Margie Stapleton. James is survived by three sons Jacob Davis of Pennington Gap, VA, Austin Stapleton of Johnson City, TN and James Franklin Stapleton of Jonesville, VA, one daughter Cede Stapleton and Fiance, Ethan Surgener of Dryden, VA, two grandchildren Ryker Francis Lee and Skylnn Marie Stapleton, two brothers Malcolm "Barney" Stapleton of Jonesville, VA, Richard Stapleton and wife, Betty Jo of Pennington Gap, VA, best friend "Fur-buddy" Max, and one niece Anastasia Calista Nevaeh Stapleton of Jonesville, VA. At his request Mr. Stapleton will be cremated with a private family graveside service at a later date.
