James Musick age 73 of Pennington Gap, VA was born Friday, April 9, 1943 in St. Charles, VA and passed away at his home Tuesday, April 4, 2017. James had worked for the Times News for 22 years and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He served 2 tours, was an E-6 SSgt. and the recipient of 2 Purple Hearts and 3 Bronze Stars. He was preceded in death by his daughter Rachelle Gordon, mother Virgie Musick, father Jim Musick, 3 brothers Eugene, Ralph and Norman Musick, 3 sisters Norma Jean Musick, Hazel Stewart and Dorothy Musick. James is survived by his loving wife Ellen Musick of the home, 1 son James Musick and wife, Jennifer of St. Charles, VA, 1 daughter Norma Jean Milanese and husband, David of Blackwater, VA, 7 grandsons, 2 granddaughters and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 1 brother Ray Musick and wife, Dovie of the Sand Lick Community, 2 sisters Barbara Lewis and husband, Cecil of St. Charles, VA, Faye Hall and husband, Willie of Ben Hur, VA and a host of nieces and nephews.
