Obituary James Arthur Hurst, age 74, of Jonesville, passed away Saturday, September11, 2021 at Lee Health and Rehab Center in Pennington Gap, Va. He was born February 2, 1947, to the late Mitchell and Leona Hurst in Rose Hill, Va. He was a lifelong resident of Lee County and a deacon of the Cedar Hill Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Hurst; parents and one sister Mary Elizabeth Pittman. He is survived by one son, Jimmy Hurst and Craig Martin of Key West, Florida; two daughters, Jolanda Ledford and husband Donnie of Jonesville and Jada Pridemore and husband, Wayne of Gray, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Joshua Ledford, Emily Ledford, and Joy Pridemore; two brothers, Ray Hurst and wife, Frances of Rose Hill, Va, David Hurst and wife, Kim of Rose Hill, Va and one sister Virginia Green of Rose Hill, Va; many loved nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Visitation will be from 12:30 until 1:00 PM Friday, September 17, 2021 at Province Funeral Home in Jonesville. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday with Jim Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Jonesville, VA.
