James "Jim" Southgate Combs age 74 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September the 4th. Jim was a kind person who would give anyone the shirt off of his back. It could be said that he showed his love by giving others a hard time. Jim was member of Bethel Church.

Jim is preceded in death by his father Hobert Combs, brothers Bill and Tim Combs and many other loving family members.

Jim is survived by his mother Arlean Combs, sisters Shannon (Gary) Johnson, Barbara Combs, Joan (Terry) Zion, and several nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends.

In keeping with Jim's wishes his body will be cremated, therefore, a graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 4 PM at Bethel Cemetery, Sugar Run, Jonesville, VA with Pastor Steve Neff officiating. It is requested that family and friends meet at the cemetery by 3;45 pm for the service.
