He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Harless, son Jackson Clyde Harless, Jr., parents Bud and Gladys Harless, sisters Kathy King, Betty Bryson, Wilma Harless, and Eliza Edens, brothers James Harless, Arnold Harless, Jimmy Harless, Jay Harless, Jerry Harless and Bobby Harless. Jackson is survived by one son Ronnie Harless of Pennington Gap, VA, one daughter Melissa Harless of Woodway, VA, a grandson Hunter Harless of Pennington Gap, VA , brothers Billy Harless and wife, Betty of South Carolina, David Harless and wife, Christy of St. Charles, VA, sisters Linda Bradley and husband, Paul of Marion, VA, Loretta Oaks and husband, Jeff of Gate City, VA, Judy Statzer and husband, Kenny of Bristol, VA , Dorothy Harless of Pennington Gap, VA and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
