Iris Nathetta Pendergraft, 82, of Woodway went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation in Pineville, KY.

Nathetta was born on July 26, 1942 in Lee County, Virginia. She was a lifetime homemaker, a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church, a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Nathetta is preceded in death by her loving husband, Burl Pendergraft; her mother, Eula Parsons; her father, John "Dog" Parsons; sisters, Rita Servoss and Betty Stanley; brothers, Hansford Osbourne, Don Parsons, and Bill Mullins.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tammy Day and husband Rick of Dryden; granddaughters, Courtney Stewart and husband Kenny of Dryden, and Sonya Day of Piney Flats; grandson, Jason (Tonya) Day of Big Stone Gap; great grandchildren, Madisyn Stewart, Alexis Stewart, Haley Day, Kaley Day, Caroline Forrester, Logan Day; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Pennington Gap Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating.

A committal service will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens with Pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to express a special thank you to all the nurses and CNA's at Mountain View Health and Rehabilitation as well as Bluegrass Hospice of Barbourville, KY.
