Herman Disney age 65 of the Hickory Flats Community was born on Wednesday, August 24, 1949 and departed this earthly walk of life on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, TN. He was a disabled coal miner and a member of Eastern Sunrise Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Cleo Disney, two brothers-in-law Richard Robbins and Bob McKinney and a special best friend Darrel Nelson. Left to mourn his passing are is loving wife of 40 years Rhonda Disney, two daughters Dawn Smith of Waterford, PA and Jessica Parsons and husband, Chris of Pennington Gap, VA, four grandchildren Branden Smith, Kyleigh Rohler and Ashlyne Rohler all of Waterford, PA and Aliyah Parsons of Pennington Gap, VA, three great-grandchildren, twins; Sophie and Brayden Smith and Benjamin Smith of Hilton, NY. Herman is also survived by three sisters Shirley McKinney, Wilma Hall and husband, Bill and Diane Middleton and husband, Fred of Pennington Gap, VA. Special friends Jack and Irene Thomas of Keokee, VA and Bill and Linda Ridings of Jonesville, VA, Buster Disney of Falmouth, MI and many loved ones and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, May 15, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral service will follow at the Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap with the Rev. Leonard Lane and Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Special music will be provided by Leonard Lane. The graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 16 at 3:00 PM at Lee Memorial Gardens in Pennington Gap. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 2:00 PM to travel to the cemetery. Pallbearers will bee Phillip Ratliff, Mike Ratliff, Eugene Zielinski, Michael McKinney, Kenny Disney and Buster Disney.
