Herbert Carroll, age 74 of Jonesville, VA was born in ??????? On Sunday, February 22, 1942 and passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. He was a retired coal miner, a member of the U.M.W.A, loved fishing and the outdoors, building and working with wood, a U.S. Army Veteran and was of the Holiness faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Goldie Carroll; three infant brothers; three sisters, Shirley Smith, Evelyn Robbins and Virgie Clontz. He is survived by his wife, Stella Carroll of the home; three step-sons, Paul Music and wife Kathy of Woodway, VA, Marvin Music and wife Pat of Woodway, VA and Kevin Music and wife Barbara of Jonesville, VA; three step-daughters, Cathy Woods and husband Larry of Dryden, VA, Tracy Phillips and husband Tom of Pennington Gap, VA and Rosemary Hopkins and husband Jimmy of Woodway, VA; also several step-grandchildren and great step-grandchildren; one sister, Ada of Jonesville, VA; Also several nieces, nephews and many friends.
