Helen Ruth Peters age 79 of the Pucketts Creek Community in Pennington Gap, VA was born there on Saturday, October 19, 1935 and passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at her home. She had retired as a tool maker from Apex Tools in Dayton, OH after 45 years and was of the Pentecostal Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents Pete and Ollie Long, brothers Adolphus Long and George Long. Helen is survived by one daughter Mary Chambers of Dayton, OH, one granddaughter Jessica Swann and three great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Peyton and Joseph. She is also survived by three brothers Tom Long and wife, Francis of the Pucketts Creek Community, Willard Long and wife, Mary of Flint, MI and Jess Long of Florida and a sister Loretta Robinson of Lafayette, IN. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Rev. Jim Ewing officiating. Burial will follow at the Cooper Cemetery on Pucketts Creek. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon Monday until the time of the service.
