Helen Thompson Creekmore, 82, of Pennington Gap went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Lee County Community Hospital.

Helen was born on September 8, 1941 in Pennington Gap, Virginia to the late Virgil Thompson and Celestia Kirk Thompson. Helen was a proud graduate of the University of Virginia where she obtained her bachelors of science degree. She worked for several years alongside her sister and family as an accountant for Bledsoe Bookkeeping and Tax Service.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Creekmore; and brother, Robert Lee Thompson

Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Herbert C Thompson and wife Joyce; sister, Doris T. Bledsoe Haynes and husband Bill; niece, Sherry Halama and husband Scott; nephews, Richard Thompson and wife Loanne, and Jeffery Thompson; along with several great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Lee Memorial Gardens with her nephew, Richard Thompson officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 3:50 PM.
