Heather Marie Leonard, 48, of Pennington Gap went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Norton Community Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Heather was born on April 18, 1976 in Wise County, Virginia to the late Marvin Wayne Chandler and Sandra Garrett. Heather was a loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Wilma and Clarence Garrett; paternal grandparents, J.B. and Edith Chandler.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Reaven Leonard Jr.; son, Isaiah Leonard; daughter, Brittany Leonard; sisters, Amanda Perkins, Angela Fisher, Kimberly Smith, Krystal Pennington, Ranada White; brothers, Joshua Chandler, and Joe Greer; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends for a celebration of life gathering from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Pennington Gap Funeral Home.
