Harold B. Smith, 79, of Pennington Gap passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at his residence.

Harold was born on March 9, 1944 in Lee County, Virginia to the late C. Bascom and Hazel Cassell Smith. Harold owned the Pick N' Pay for many years until his retirement.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, William Smith; and sister, Faye Mikulenas.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Marilyn Smith; two sons, David Smith of Waverly, Texas and Larry Smith of Nottaway, Virginia; daughter, Christine Rasnic and husband Dave of Clarksville, Tennessee; two sisters, Charlotte Osborne of Flint, Michigan and Lois Dearlove of Flint, Michigan; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; along with several special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Per Harold's wishes he will be cremated with no formal services.
