Obituary Gwen Shepherd age 62 of Keokee, VA was born in Logan, WV on Monday, May 16, 1955 and passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Big Stone Gap, VA. She had worked as a nurse for 5 years at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. She was of the Baptist Faith, enjoyed cooking, collecting angels, traveling with her sister and brother-in-law and loved her grandbabies very much. She was preceded in death by her son Shannon Fleenor, husband Rondel Shepherd, parents Leonard Freeman and Fannie Vandergriff, one sister and three brothers. Gwen is survived by two sons Travis Shepherd and wife, Brittany of Woodway, VA, Ron Fleenor and wife, Kelly of the Rock Lick Community, one daughter Shelley Crowe and husband, Travis of Brooklyn, IN, grandchildren Kairs Manwaring, Addison Shepherd, Aubri Shepherd, Amara Fleenor, Josh Fleenor, Miranda Fleenor, Amanda Biggs, Kasey Biggs and Tosha Biggs and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister Gloria Atkins and husband, Jerry of Columbus, OH, nephews Gerald Atkins, Jr., GScot Vandergriff, Dorsey Hager, Thomas Hager and Dakota Vandergriff, nieces Vonda Kay Kinser, Angela McDowell, Laura Vandergriff Johnson, Kelsie Vandergriff and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Province Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Woodway, VA.
